National Register of Historic Places for Lubbock, Texas

 

Lubbock, Texas lies within the boundaries of Lubbock County. This city was primarily founded by Frank Weelockqv and W.E. Rayner sometime during 1876. However, it is named in honor of Thomas Lubbock.

 

Lubbock, Texas celebrates Sam Rayburn Day, the National Cowboy Symposium, Confederate Heroes Day and Texas Independence Day.

 

The Lubbock Arts Festival, Cinco de Mayo, Panhandle South Plains Fair and ACE Rodeo are also part of Lubbock’s festivities.
