Cold Beer, Big Burgers, Hot Music!
3405 34th StCaprock Cafe opened in September 1997, and quickly became a favorite watering hole for the center of Lubbock. When the United Spirit arena opened in October 1999, Caprock Cafe became a convenient spot to meet before or after games and events there. On December 1, 2008, Caprock Cafe opened its second location in Rockridge Plaza at 82nd & Slide. Both locations are Smoke-Free. Caprock Cafe celebrates over 14 years of serving Lubbock's best char-broiled half-pound burgers and cold draft beer. So cold in fact, Caprock Cafe won the Lubbock Avalanche Journal's "Best of Lubbock" contest in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 as the "Best Place to Have a Beer!" in Lubbock!
\n\nWhen the CapRock Cafe says "cold beer" they aren't kidding! Thanks to a state-of-the-art refrigeration system when the beer gets to your lips it's actually COLDER THAN ICE! Add a full menu of tasty appetizers, half and quarter pound char-broiled burgers (try the green chile bacon cheeseburger!), chicken salads, and sandwiches, green chile chicken enchiladas, and some tasty desserts, and you've got a place that's fun to go to anytime--lunch, dinner, or late night. Come party and enjoy a relaxing time on our front patio. Our friendly staff is ready to show you why the CapRock Cafe is Where Texas Plays!

I've been going here for 11 years now and it's still as great as the very first time I went. I no longer live in Lubbock, but every time I visit, going to Caprock is a must! The queso is sooo good (with beef), the schooners of beers are…
Great food and drinks. Fun atmosphere, wonderful service...Just can't say enough good things about this place.
Great food - especially the salads. The beer is cold and service was good. However, it is very loud and the smoke in there is enough to kill a small horse!
