NFL teams are not allowed to create a local bubble by requiring players to spend the night before a game in hotels. When a team stays in a hotel for games, all players and staff must wear a tracking device, whether they are staying at home or traveling.
Anyone who tests positive or shows symptoms may not return until ten days after the day on which the positive test is taken and the team doctor is notified. They must be placed on the reserve list (COVID-19) to be tested again the next day while waiting for other test results on that day.
If the stay is less than seven days, guests must pay for the entire stay (one week each) at check-in. Guests paying the weekly rate will be charged for their stay upon check-in and the indicated rate will be charged by the credit card that contains the reservation. For stays of seven days or more, reservations must be cancelled within two working days. For stays of more than five days or less than three weeks, the guest does not have to pay a week in advance.
Payable on the first night of stay, no more than $150 tax per pet or $50 per tax - per month for pets. For stays of more than five days or less than three weeks, the month may not be charged as long as it is not more than $250 per week in taxes and fees and $500 per month in fees for animals.
Guests who cancel and fail to show up within 24 hours of their advance payment for a non-refundable deposit of $3 per night will lose their deposit and overnight stay, including taxes. Guests who cancel within 24 hours of the payment date for a deposit of $1,000 or more and fail to show up will lose their deposit, taxes and fees, and $50 per tax - per month for pets.
Teams are allowed to continue paying if players want to move to another hotel to avoid catching a family or roommate in the postseason. The NFL has also reminded teams that it remains illegal to meet in their hotels as long as you wear masks, which is still the case.
